“It’s gonna take weeks to dig through all those loving requesters,” Chewy stated on Facebook. “Please, please for me go to the shelters and rescues (sic) and adopter (sic) one for me.”

The note went on to state the owner’s abusive ex-girlfriend had also kicked Chewy who now “has a big knot on his head.”
The sharing of Chewy’s picture around social media has garnered much interest with many adoption offers. The dog was rescued by airport authorities and given to Connie and Millie’s Dog Rescue.

The owner of a three-month-old Chihuahua abandoned the puppy in a Las Vegas airport over the weekend because she had “no other options.”

“My owner was in an abusive relationship and couldn’t afford to get me on the flight,” the note explained. “She didn’t want to leave me with all her heart but she has no other option.”
