Human Ken Doll risks losing sight to change eye colour

To date the man has had more than 50 operations, spending more than $704,000 for procedures such as nose jobs, botox, fillers, liposuction and various implants.

However, because custom lenses are expensive and are time consuming to make, he believes having surgery is the better option. Alves noted he recently met an artist from Los Angeles who hand painted contact lenses.

Human Ken Doll Rodrigo Alves is continuing his quest to look like the perfect man by altering the colour of his eyes.

Despite the risk that he could go blind, the 33-year-old is in New Delhi, India to have a controversial procedure that will change the colour of his eyes from brown to icy grey, the UK Mirror reported.

The surgery, which will cost more than $14,000, will see surgeons cut a 2.8 millimetre slit in the eye to insert an artificial iris. The operation will take place next week.

“I have been wearing coloured contact lenses since the age of 14,” Alves said. “I used to get them easily from the counter and they looked terrible and real fake.”
