Scott Iverson was arrested in Salem, Ore. on attempted murder and assault charges.

Cops say the victim managed to escape Iverson but the accused punched him in the head while pushing him back towards the wood chipper.

The altercation was thwarted by another worker but not before Iverson allegedly tried to feed the victim’s leg into the machine.

Iverson has reportedly told cops he would be pleading guilty to the charges. He’s currently being held at Marion County Jail on $50,000 bail.

According to the New York Daily News, Iverson allegedly walked up behind the victim last Wednesday, put him in a headlock and tried to shove him into the wood chipper.
