He wasn’t taken into custody because he hasn’t put Malia in danger, a source told the Post.

Once inside, Cardoso allegedly posted a sign in an office window directed at Malia: “I want to marry you.”

A New York man is accused of obsessing over former First Daughter Malia Obama to the point Secret Service agents stepped in last week.

Secret Service members paid Cardoso a visit and detained the man for questioning. Cardoso, whose rap sheet is blank, eventually was taken to a hospital for a psych evaluation.

The First Daughter’s body guards are seeking an order of protection against Cardoso, who also is accused of tracking down Malia in the U.S. capital and attempting to waltz into the White House.

The Post reported Cardoso also was caught tracking Malia as she left her office building last week.

Jair Nilton Cardoso, 30, of Brooklyn, has been daring in his attempts to reach Malia since the 18-year-old relocated to the Big Apple in January.
