Cops believe Jennifer Frechette, 44, put on an act when security stumbled upon her and a male student on a makeshift bed inside a classroom.

Frechette turned herself into police after being charged with second-degree sexual assault last week.
She later told cops the two were trying on costumes. Frechette originally told security the 15-year-old boy had “sweet talked” her, according to the report.

But a little more digging revealed Frechette, a married mom, allegedly had an ongoing relationship with the teen, who also claimed Frechette performed a sex act on him inside the classroom back in December.

Interim Superintendent of Schools Reginald Mayo is moving to terminate Frechette, who’s currently on paid leave.

She was released on Monday after posting a $100,000 bond.

It wasn’t what it looked like, according to a Connecticut high school drama teacher accused of sexual assault against a pupil.

“The care and safety of students is the top priority for New Haven Public Schools,” Mayo said in a statement. “A breach of that responsibility by any staff member is cause for concern. The arrest of a New Haven teacher on allegations of sexual assault and risk of injury is deeply troubling.”

According to an affidavit obtained by TV station WTNH, two security guards at Wilbur Cross High School also spotted a bag of condoms in the room.

Frechette also texted the teen she wasn’t attracted to her husband anymore, police said.
