Terri Spragg, a 35-year-old mother of four from the Isle of Wight, was convicted in December of having sex with the youngster after boozing it up but Newport Crown Court handed down a 15-month suspended sentence.

Spragg was ordered to surrender at Newport police station to begin serving her new sentence.
The Court of Appeal in London, however, ruled that Spragg’s punishment — she was facing nine charges of sexual activity with a child and convicted on seven — was too lenient and instead jailed her for three years.
“This 14-year-old was less than half the offender’s age and he had no previous sexual experience,” Lord Justice Colman Treacy said, according to the Daily Mail. “It is perfectly clear that she fully appreciated the wrong she was doing, as her comments at the time and her attempts to cover up her social media trail demonstrate.
