Video shows female hotel worker fend off masked attacker

The suspect — later identified as Zachary Person, 29, of Norfolk, Neb. — allegedly attacked and dragged the employee into a nearby hallway where cops say the woman was groped “in a sexual manner.” 

At the time, Beighly was working at the Quick Pick gas station in Fremont, Neb. when Person exposed himself in front of her at the counter. He later returned to grope her as she walked to her car.
Person was arrested and pleaded guilty to misdemeanor third-degree sexual assault stemming from that incident.

But after fleeing, the suspect returned in an attempt to retrieve his mask.

The woman reportedly fought back, dislodging her attacker’s black ski mask, exposing his face in the process.

Person’s arrest haunted Breanna Beighly, the victim of a December 2015 attack.

He was then chased out of the hotel by the employee.

The footage helped cops identify and nab Person. 

Harrowing surveillance video shows a female hotel worker in Nebraska fend off a masked attacker. 
ABC 7 reported that Person is on the national sex offender registry and is wanted for similar crimes in multiple states. 

His bail is set at $1 million. Person is currently behind bars at Douglas County Jail.

The man is also a person of interest in an Iowa case. He is currently awaiting sentencing in Vermilion, S.D., for tackling a woman at a gas station and groping a jogger.

“(He) just started grabbing me, so I was screaming and I fell to the ground, trying to get him to stop,” Beighly told KETV.
 

Person was arrested on Friday and charged with first-degree sexual assault and false imprisonment.
